Converge Terms of Use
Version 2026-10-release-v4 – Effective October 31, 2026
1. About Converge
Converge is operated by Tyler Comeau in Alberta, Canada, as a professional network and private decision-support service for verified education professionals. Members share situations, perspectives and outcomes within authorized communities. These Terms, our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines govern participation. Contact Converge at info@tylercomeau.ca.
2. Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate application and profile information and use your own account. Approval and verified geographic information determine automatic geographic community access. Verified members may voluntarily join available Professional Communities, which represent areas of practice or interest and are not automatically assigned by professional role. Keep your credentials secure and tell us about suspected misuse. Request a location change through Settings rather than misrepresenting your location. Verification does not endorse a member or their advice. Converge is intended for education professionals, not children or students.
3. Responsible participation
Participate respectfully. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, infringe others’ rights or attempt to bypass access controls. Do not upload student records, confidential staff information, identifying case details or material you lack permission to share. Remove identifying details before posting. Converge is not an emergency service or a substitute for legal, medical, employment or human-resources, financial or safeguarding advice. Follow your institution’s duties and applicable law.
4. Your contributions
You remain responsible for the situations, replies, outcomes and images you submit. You retain your rights in your content and permit Converge to store, display and process it as necessary to operate the service, deliver authorized discussions and notifications, moderate content and carry out deletion. Do not copy or distribute another member’s content outside its intended context without permission. Access controls cannot prevent every screenshot or disclosure by another person.
5. Named and anonymous participation
Named contributions may show your name, professional role and avatar. Anonymous contributions hide those identity fields from ordinary member views. Anonymous does not mean unidentifiable to Converge: the authenticated account remains associated internally with content for ownership, access control, moderation, safety, reporting, deletion and authorized administration. Your own wording may identify you or others, so anonymize the content itself.
6. Safety and moderation
Members may report situations and replies and block named members. Blocking hides named contributions in the normal experience; anonymous contributions are not filtered by their hidden author. Administrators may review reports, remove or restore content, and suspend or reinstate accounts. We may restrict access for safety, misuse or breaches of these rules. Contact support to request review of an action. Moderation and blocking cannot guarantee that all harmful content will be prevented.
7. Account deletion
You can initiate deletion in Profile > Account or at https://converge.tylercomeau.ca/delete-account. Identity verification and confirmation protect against unauthorized deletion. Deletion revokes access and erases personal profile data, avatars, private account records and your authored content. Non-identifying structural placeholders may remain to preserve other members’ replies. Narrowly necessary redacted security and moderation records may remain. See the Privacy Policy for retention details. Deleting your Converge account does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed through Apple or another external billing provider. Cancel your subscription separately if you do not want it to renew. Deletion cannot be undone.
8. Availability and changes
Converge is provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, or the accuracy, completeness or suitability of member content, external sources or AI-generated responses. Features and availability may change. Assess information using your professional judgment. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Converge and its operator are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms. This does not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability, warranty, right or remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
9. Document updates
We identify these Terms by version and effective date. When renewed acceptance is required, Converge will present the current documents before participation. Support and account deletion remain available. Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@tylercomeau.ca.
10. Ask Converge
Ask Converge synthesizes perspectives and information to support your judgment. It does not make decisions for you and does not provide legal, medical, employment or human-resources, financial or safeguarding advice. It is not emergency or crisis response and is not a substitute for institutional policy or applicable law. Generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your circumstances. Verify important statements, source material and applicable requirements before acting. Converge is not an emergency service.
Ask may draw on discussions you are permitted to access, authentic member perspectives, clearly identified fictional or composite Founding Scenarios, and external evidence where useful. A Founding Scenario is editorial discussion context, not evidence of an actual member experience or outcome. A member reply is that member’s perspective, not proof of consensus or firsthand experience unless the reply says so. AI-generated synthesis is produced by Ask Converge and is distinct from member contributions. Sources may become unavailable as permissions or content change.
When you submit an Ask, Converge sends your question, bounded conversation context and permitted evidence to OpenAI for processing. External research uses server-generated, validated queries intended to remove identifying details; your raw private question is not used directly as a public web-search query. Protect privacy: avoid names or identifying details when they are not necessary to understand the situation, and do not submit information you lack authority to share. Automated safeguards cannot guarantee that identifying information is always detected.
Verified Free members receive two lifetime complimentary generations, not a monthly allowance. Each generated initial response or follow-up uses one Ask. Opening Ask, reading answers, reopening history, viewing citations, archiving, restoring or deleting a conversation does not use an Ask. Failed generations release their reservation. Additional generations use eligible included Pro allowances or separately purchased credits where enabled. Purchased credits do not require active Pro. Monthly and annual Pro subscriptions are available to verified members. Availability and safety limits still apply.
Ask conversations are stored by Converge so you can reopen and continue them. You can archive, restore or delete them. Deleting a conversation does not reset lifetime usage or erase the shared discussions it cited. If you report a response, authorized reviewers can inspect that reported question, response and source references, together with your report, but do not receive general access to your other Ask messages. See the Privacy Policy for processing, access and deletion details.
11. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Free membership includes the verified network and exactly 2 lifetime complimentary Ask generations. Converge Pro is available for C$19.99 per month or C$199.99 per year. Both billing periods unlock the same Pro entitlement, with the included generation allowances below and the premium benefits shown in the app. Manual Planning drafting and owner management are available to verified Free and Pro members. Verification is required before purchase. Complimentary Pro, where granted, is distinct from a paid subscription.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected billing period and recurring charges continue unless cancelled through the billing provider before renewal, under that provider’s applicable terms. Review the billing period, total price, taxes and renewal details displayed at checkout before confirming. Applicable taxes, including GST/HST on Canadian web purchases where required, are calculated and disclosed at checkout.
iOS subscriptions are purchased, billed and managed through Apple In-App Purchase. Web subscriptions use RevenueCat Billing with Stripe as the payment processor and for applicable tax calculation. RevenueCat manages subscription and entitlement status. Converge does not receive or store full payment-card details.
Use Manage Subscription in Profile & settings when available to open the provider’s subscription-management page. Apple purchases can also be managed in your Apple Account subscription settings. For web purchases, use the RevenueCat customer-management link supplied through Manage Subscription or your billing emails; contact info@tylercomeau.ca if you cannot access it. Cancel through the provider that billed you. Cancellation generally stops the next renewal rather than retroactively ending the current paid period; access normally continues through the paid-through date unless a refund, revocation or another applicable condition ends the entitlement sooner. Paid access ends when the paid entitlement expires or is otherwise no longer valid. Another valid Pro entitlement, such as complimentary access, may independently preserve access.
On iOS, Restore Purchases in Profile & settings can restore eligible Apple purchases associated with your account. Restoration does not create a new subscription or guarantee access to an expired or invalid entitlement. Refund eligibility and requests are governed by applicable law and the relevant billing platform’s rules. Apple handles Apple purchase refund requests. Contact Converge support about a web purchase refund. Cancellation alone is not a refund request. A refund or revocation may end the associated paid access.
Deleting a Converge account does not automatically cancel an externally managed subscription. Cancel separately if you do not want future renewals, before or after deleting your account. Keep your billing receipt so you can contact the provider even after account deletion.
12. Private decision-support records
Decision Workspace, Workspace Reflections and My Leadership Playbook contain your private, owner-authored material. They are not published to the network or automatically used as Ask evidence. Workspace evidence references remain subject to current source permissions and availability. A reflection is available after a decision is marked Decided; turning it into a Playbook insight requires your deliberate review and save. This does not publish an Outcome or generate AI advice.
If Pro access ends, existing Ask history and your private Workspace, reflection and Playbook history remain readable under the service’s access rules. Creating and editing follow each feature’s stated permissions; a Pro badge does not mean all manual Workspace or Planning functions require Pro. Subscription expiry does not itself delete your private records. Account deletion and privacy-request channels remain available.
13. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes may be brought before courts with jurisdiction in Alberta, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer, privacy or other statutory protections. These Terms do not require mandatory arbitration.
14. Planning Studio and generation allowances
Planning Studio supports individual growth plans and organizational strategies for one to four years, through Quick Start or Guided inputs. Decision Workspace organizes your own decision records; Decision Dossier provides AI-assisted analysis and a private document when successfully prepared. AI output is a recommendation, not institutional approval, verified evidence or a substitute for professional judgment. Confirm proposed targets, timelines, resources and jurisdiction-specific requirements before adoption. Missing information may become consultation, evidence-gathering or confirmation work.
Verified Free membership includes 2 lifetime Ask generations, 1 lifetime Dossier generation and 1 lifetime Planning generation. These do not renew monthly. Eligible Pro membership includes 30 Ask and 4 Dossier generations per membership month, and 2 Planning generations per membership year. Monthly versus yearly subscription billing does not change those feature allowance periods. Profile displays authoritative balances and reset dates. Eligible included Pro or Free lifetime allowances are used first, then eligible purchased credits; unused included allowances do not become purchased credits.
For new Planning requests submitted under the displayed usable-document confirmation, one successfully saved, safely usable AI-generated document consumes one Planning generation, whether fully validated or clearly labelled as a review draft. Review drafts may contain proposed details and outstanding professional-confirmation items. If no safely usable AI-generated document is delivered, the reservation is released. An input-only fallback is not charged as an AI-generated document. Historical failed requests and credits already released are not retrospectively charged.
Manual drafting, input-based PDF export, editing, saving, versions, reflections, viewing, previewing, downloading, sharing and PDF retries do not consume another Planning generation. A PDF delay after a usable AI document is saved is recovered separately, without another generation charge. An expressly confirmed new AI generation uses a new allowance. Checking status does not initiate generation. No automatic paid retry is made on your behalf.
15. One-time credit packs
Where verified and enabled for the platform: Ask Pack provides 15 Ask generations (Canadian reference CAD $4.99); Dossier Pack provides 5 Dossier generations (CAD $4.99); Planning Pack provides 2 Planning generations (CAD $3.99); Leadership Bundle provides 15 Ask, 5 Dossier and 2 Planning generations (CAD $11.99). The localized store price, currency and applicable tax information displayed before purchase govern the transaction; Canadian reference prices are not universal prices. Purchasing is unavailable where the app says it is not enabled.
These are one-time consumables, not subscriptions, and do not grant Pro. Purchased credits are separately attributed to the purchasing Converge account, have no automatic expiry and remain redeemable by an eligible member after Pro ends. Use the same Converge account across devices. Account deletion ends access to that account and does not convert credits into cash or transfer them to another account.
A client success screen does not grant credits: the server verifies and records the transaction. Delayed confirmation can leave a purchase pending; retain your receipt and contact support. Repeated notifications do not duplicate a grant. A legitimate new transaction for the same pack grants its own quantity.
Refunds and chargebacks follow applicable law and the billing provider’s process. A verified reversal revokes credits attributable to that transaction; affected reservations may be released. Previously consumed reversed credits may reduce the net purchased balance available for later use. No new payment is automatically collected to replenish credits. Apple and Google purchases use native billing/refund channels; configured web checkout identifies its provider. Contact info@tylercomeau.ca for reconciliation. Statutory rights are not excluded.
16. Material changes and acceptance
This version clarifies organizational planning, review-draft charging, allowances, purchased credits, private document processing and reconciliation. Acceptance does not charge historical requests or purchase anything. The generation confirmation identifies when the prospective usable-document rule applies. Earlier versions and acceptance records are retained. New acceptance requires the member’s affirmative action; it is never recorded automatically. Support, policy review and account-deletion access remain available while acceptance is outstanding.
